Where to start? Do you know what you are looking for to replace your tires?
1.) If you already know your tire size, then you can skip to steps two or three. If you are unsure what size is installed on your vehicle, you can get the information from your vehicle or owner's manual. The correct tire for your vehicle will be a unique combination of different variables including the width, height, and diameter of the tire, as well as a combination the tire's load capacity rating and speed ability. To find out what size tires you need and what speed/load rating your vehicle requires, check your owner's manual. If the information is not listed there, it can usually be found inside the door jamb of the driver's door, inside the glove box door, or inside the fuel tank hatch. In the example shown in the photo above, you could tell the tire technician that you are looking for "215/45/17" tires with a "87V" speed and load rating.
You can also check the size as listed on the tire sidewall. Please note that some vehicles have front tires that differ in size from the rear tires. You can write all these numbers down and call or bring them to Woodward Tire to see what is available in your size. In the example shown below, you could tell the tire technician that you are looking for "185/75/14" tires with a "82S" speed and load rating. That's all the information you'll need to find tires that will fit your vehicle as the manufacturer intended.
If the tires on your vehicle are a different size than the ones listed in your vehicle's owner's manual, contact one of our tire pros for help.
